It was in 1930, in Victoriaville, that Mr. Joseph Uzéric Houle created his plumbing and tinsmith shop named after his name “J.U. Houle”. In 1957, under the steering of his sons Jules and Gérard, the company transformed itself into a distributor in plumbing and heating. Four years later, municipal products distribution entered the business’ product lines.
It was in 1995 that the torch was passed on to the third generation. Thus, Jean and Pierre, Gérard’s two sons, took on the succession of the family business et continued the excellent work started by their predecessors.
In 2007, J.U. Houle celebrated its 50th anniversary and, in 2009, after 52 years at the same adress, J.U. Houle moved in a new location in Victoriaville’s industrial park. These new installments were built following high performance criteria, on an operational level as much as on an environmental level, which allowed the company to keep growing and to serve their customers even better.
